 Description: nonblocking 8-bit-clean pipe buffer
bfr's purpose is to buffer data. It buffers from its standard input
and/or a list of files of your choosing, and allows this data to flow
to its standard output at whatever rate that end can handle. It's
useful for any situation in which it's beneficial to have I/O occur in
  a detached yet smooth fashion.
Also contained is bfp, a buffering /dev/dsp writer. Pipe your raw PCM
data to it, for skip-free bliss.

Source: bfr
Binary: bfr
Architecture: m32r
Version: 1.6-0.1
Distribution: unstable
Urgency: low
Maintainer: Mark Glines <mark at glines.org>
Changed-By: Decklin Foster <decklin at red-bean.com>
Description:
bfr - nonblocking 8-bit-clean pipe buffer
Closes: 217530
Changes:
 bfr (1.6-0.1) unstable; urgency=low
 .
   [Decklin Foster]
   * Non-maintainer upload of new (old) upstream version.
   * Rewrite debian/rules to work properly with debhelper (we're no longer
using debmake), so that the binaries actually get installed. Removed a lot
of extra stuff and updated compat to v5.
 .
   [Mark Glines]
   * Disable progress-bar for a forked off reader. Otherwise, both parent
and child write out progress bars, which is silly and useless.
   * rename setmode() to set_mystate() to allow compilation on NetBSD,
FreeBSD and Darwin, at least. This was actually reported by 3 or 4
people (thanks!). Those pesky Linux coders, thinking they own the
namespace, no respect for others. Yep, thats me.
   * Incorporated a patch adding a "total" field to the progress bar, from
     Gerard Saraber (thanks!)
   * To fix a Debian policy violation having to do with declaring build
dependencies on build-essential packages, incorporate a patch from
     Santiago Vila (thanks!) Closes: #217530
